Literally, I have no idea.
I don’t compete much and I win even less… So I don’t know. I guess it would be the prize I never won (see further down, some anecdote about Pony Camp and Henry Esquire). In short: I was on the owner’s horse, so I wasn’t included in the ‘Best Rider’ category and it was announced in public and it’s probably the most recognition I’ve ever had about riding. (:

As shown there (^), I have a champion riding hat.

I don’t know what brand my boots are but they work. My half chaps are Dublin.
My jods are pretty much all Derby House own brand.. black, navy, sky blue/navy, navy/sky blue, and some which look like jeans but don’t fit me. Oh and beige.
I don’t specifically wear much other stuff… and btw, i am fully aware that my thighs suck, so shh.
Tack-wise, I sold most of it with my horse. I now have a rubber pelham and roundings, and some of a bridle, and a shetland pony’s saddle (long story why). :)

I don’t remember the first, but I remember the worst.
I was put on a pregnant mare. She, obviously, didn’t like me kicking at her baby, so bucked me off. I skidded along the floor and sat up crying and spitting out sand. My Dad jumped into the school and picked me up, put me in the car and drove to where my brother used to do karate at the same time I rode. Apparently, he kept me awake and talked to me the whole way to the hospital, where I can remember seeing a nurse who wore too much eyeshadow. It was kinda sky blue. I think.
I don’t remember what else happened but I do remember that it was a small grey pony and I rode her once afterwards, which was the most horrible ride of my life. It was terrifying.
There have been quite a few amazing rides in my life. But I think that the one that most impacted my life is the one in the drill ride at the end of my pony camp, on Henry Esquire.
As I mentioned, he was the owner’s horse. So I think it was basically the feeling that someone had recognised that i could do this whole riding lark and was actually not too bad at it. The lap of honour is what I remember most; the feeling of this huge (or so it then felt) animal carrying me around the ring. It was after that too, that the owner of the stables said “Cat’s not been included in the ‘best rider’ contest - she wouldn’t be on my horse if she could be”. That was probably my proudest moment. Whenever I think of it, it reminds me how much good Mitchelswood EC did for me.
